Aussie10s, llc is based in Winston Salem, NC and provides tennis and fitness instruction to athletes of all levels. A stocked tennis pro shop is onsite. Special orders allow access to most brands of tennis, running, and yoga apparel and equipment.
The company is led by Darryl Lewis who has experience in all areas of the service, training, and hospitality industries: Public parks tennis professional; Private club tennis professional and tennis director; Resort tennis director; Tournament director; Director for a regional sports organization; Manager responsible for recruiting/training/scheduling staff; and a liaison with international officials. He has worked as part of resorts, corporations, clubs, and non profit organizations.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Darryl played his collegiate tennis at NCAA Div 1 Georgia State University while completing his degree in biology.
The USPTA and PTR have played a major part in Darryl’s career, as he has been a member for over 20 years and served in various volunteer capacities. A highlight of Darryl’s career came in 2011 when he was awarded the designation of USPTA Master Professional, an honor given to only 1 percent of approximately 15,000 professionals.
Darryl was honored in 2005 as the USPTA Georgia Pro of the Year, and the Georgia Professional Tennis Association Tennis Director of the Year. The TPC Sugarloaf Charity Pro Am was voted the GPTA Pro Am of the Year in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, and 2006. It was also awarded the USTA Southern Section Charity Event of the Year in 2001, and the USPTA Southern Division Charity Event of the Year in 2004. He has been a speaker at many events including the USTA Tennis Teachers Conference, and the PTR International Symposium.
Darryl’s first book “The Pocket Guide To Winning Tennis” was published in 2011, and aussie10Spro.com is currently being built as a resource for tennis professionals and players.
